I took my sons bottle away before he turned 1.

For us it just happened. I let my son get really tired playing throughout the day and of course with 2 naps throughout the day and I’d put him in his crib so I can prepare him a warm bottle of milk and by the time I came back to the room he was asleep and he did the same at night. Sometimes I still give him a bottle at night when he doesn’t feel like eating throughout the day even if I offer him food so he can still go to sleep with something in his tummy.

I think she had her last night bottle around 13-14 months. We had been slowly weaning her off of bottles and she did great. Her night bottle was her favorite so I was surprised how well she did without it.

Do you just give her a bottle in bed and let her drink it herself? Or do you pick her up and hold her for a bottle? If it’s the first that should really be stopped right away, it can cause ear infections and tooth decay. If it’s the second I would wait a little longer, she may still be getting hungry at night which can be normal. Closer to 1 is when I would stop and replace it with drinks of water. My daughter still sometimes wakes up for water in the middle of the night.

@modom16, also she doesn’t fall asleep with the bottle in her mouth , I still have to rock her to sleep . Goes the same when she wakes up in the middle of night
