Do people still send thank you cards after a wedding??
I've been to two weddings within the last year and we received a thank you card for my fiance's cousin's I wanna say June or July and the wedding was in April 2018
We also went to an acquaintance (close friend in hs, haven't hung out in person since I've ever known my fiance (4yrs)) of my fiance's in September...nothing.
We gave $300 checks for both. It's our go to wedding gift lol
I ask because we're getting married in August and I want to know what is considered a reasonable amount of time. Most Websites say within 3 months. My fiance thinks a year.

2 months I'd say even 3. People will understand, y'all are going to be newly Weds

Etiquette allows for one year. I sent mine out within a month. If people took all that effort to attend our wedding, were nice enough to give a gift... of course I would make the time to get the thank you card out promptly

I would say within 2 months also. I had mine done within two weeks. You can start early with addressing envelopes, etc.

I actually planned on doing most on our flight to Hawaii. My fiance doesn't want to but what else will we be doing for 16 hours.
Also I mentioned that we didn't get a thank you note a few weeks ago from his friend and said it was a little rude. He said they have time though and we've been debating ever since 😂

We did for ours ! But we want to a wedding in July and never got a thank you card I find it so tacky

I don't like inconsiderate people at all and the whole wedding of his friend gave me a bad taste in my mouth but this was the icing on the cake.
I was curious about what people do and also checking to make sure I'm just not being crazy...thanks ladies!

Absolutely send out thank yous. Personally I think within a year is way too long. A couple months is plenty of time.
