Well I had a HUGE scare today... Oliver had been having really bad gas and was crying so I tried doing bicycle kicks but it wasn’t working so I gave him gripe water. But the second I put it in his mouth he decided he didn’t like the taste and tried to not swallow it so he start choking. I immediately picked him up and tried hitting his back to make sure it got out but it wasn’t. His face turned red and I’m screaming for my boyfriend (who was asleep) he doesn’t hear me so I just keep beating his back and he finally throws it up. But he is still coughing so right as I see he is okay and not choking I call the doctor and make sure he doesn’t need to be checked out and they send me to the ER to make sure he didn’t aspirate. My mom drives me there because I can’t stop crying. At this point I’m convinced I’m a terrible mother for him choking and thinking the worst. I cry as I talk to every doctor and nurse. Now that I know he is okay and his lungs are clear I feel so much better still nervous though I’m keeping an eye on him all night and making sure he is still breathing ok. I never thought that would actually happen to Oliver.
