So, I'm 16 weeks pregnant with our 4th daughter we planned on naming Ava Rene. Unfortunately I found out yesterday during an ultrasound that her skull did not develop. I'm being induced Friday to deliver her, but instead of pitocin they are giving me something to go on my cervix to help soften and dilate. My question is has any mamas on her dealt with this issue or were you induced by medicine on the cervix and not pitocin?

I did ! They also put something on my cervix as well , although they put it there a day before and the next day I’d have to go in to deliver my baby boy , it was pretty painful though .. 😔💙

They are doing it the same day and expect me to deliver that day. Did the process hurt like contraction wise for you or more emotional? It's definitely not easy and heartbreaking. Hugs to you.

yes it does I am not going to lie , you do get contractions it hurts less though , I think me being emotional throughout made it hurt less because I was to busy hurting for my baby boy , till this day I haven’t gotten over that day I’m still emotionally broken .. thank you ! Yes, that's it! Just not sure what to expect because they don't plan on pitocin nor have I ever had to deliver a baby with this condition or this way. Just wondering if the contractions will be the same and unfortunately my doctor isn't given much information.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. Many prayers with you. ❤ I can't exactly say since I had pitocin and cervidil done at the same time. My contractions hurt but were bearable. I could breathe through them and I had a quick 3 hour labor. Just focus on your breathing. Deep breaths in and out. ❤
