I could just cry at this point I’m trying so hard to breastfeed but now I’ve got blood coming out instead of milk on one side! 😩 my baby has a good latch I’m in no pain yet I’ve got this. I was going to manual pump my right side but I forgot one of the pieces for my pump so I’m going to pick up spare parts during my lunch break. Oh and to top all this off I’ve got a cold and have all but lost my voice. 😭😭😭

That happened to me. My right nipple became very raw from pumping so much. I hope your day gets better

momma I nursed my 6 babies for over a year each. It’s never easy but hang in there. First off have u had baby checked for a lip or tongue tie? Check into it if not. Put coconut oil on your nipple to soothe it. Sometimes using a nipple shield temporarily will give your nipples time to heal but beware some babies will not go back to just breast after having used one and some will.

I think I might just pump that one for now and let her nurse the other side. I just went to pump again and thankfully no blood. I will have to get her checked would that just be her pediatrician? Might try to make an appointment with a lactation specialist see if I’m doing something wrong. I feel like her latch is good but I’m still so new to this probably a good idea to get an expert to help again I saw one in hospital when she was born.
Thanks for the coconut oil tip! I’m going to try that. Does it need to be wiped off before baby nurses again?

momma your not doing something wrong. It’s just a learning process. You will get it. Yes u can see the pediatrician to look for the tie. I never wipe the coconut oil off especially since I use organic. Remember if it smells like coconut oil it has the good nutrients in it. If it doesn’t smell like coconut oil it’s probably been over processed.
