My little one is sick...I gave her Pedialyte and have been giving her baby foods with high vitamin C with water. I stopped giving her milk because of congestion, She does have asthma and I've been giving her albuterol treatments but she still has a cough. No fever though, Any thoughts?

Stopped giving her milk? She should still be on either formula or breastmilk, that is her main source of nutrition and antibiotics.
I might of just misunderstood that.

I still give her milk I just stopped because she's sick. They told me to put her on straight clear liquids because she gets congested

I’m just confused because you can start introducing solids starting at 6 months of age. But formula or breastmilk is her main source of antibiotics, congested or not that should be her main “meal” yes doing foods high in vitamin c (that are okay for a 7 month old) does help but....
I’m sorry I’m not trying to attack you, I have just never heard of putting a 7 month old on clear liquids, and taking her off milk. I wouldn’t recommend it either. Giving them a few ounces of water after introducing solid food is okay. But not just giving her nothing but clear liquids. She needs the formula or breastmilk. Whichever you are doing.

Well that's what the pediatricians say so I guess people have different opinions idk I'm just going off of what they said

She still needs formula or breastmilk even if she’s sick . Pediatricians aren’t always right and often give outdated information. Running a humidifier and clearing her nose can also help
Clear up the congestion.

And I get that pediatricians aren't always right I'm just saying thats what they told me,and I have some moms that told me the same thing. I already have a humidifier hooked up in my room
