I caved and gave Josephine her wubanub. I feel so scared she’s going to get nipple confusion but I haven’t slept since the night before I came in and they won’t let me sleep with her here in the hospital. I just need a couple hours. Who knows if I’ll even get that worrying about it. 😖

Nipple confusion is a term usually used when using both bottle and breast as feeding methods. A pacifier is different shape than a nipple and does not provide milk. I wouldn't worry about it. Get some sleep. Josephine needs you to be somewhat rested 🙂

Nipple confusion with pacifiers is pretty rare actually. Let her soothe away! Both my boys had a paci the first day and neither had trouble breastfeeding after.
