Are Y'all ready for a Update: My doc appointment went exceptionally well!! We will be induced at 38-39 weeks!! Doc said if Baby isn't born at 38 weeks..She definitely will be born at 39 weeks!!🎉🎉 I am 1 cm dilated and Doc said My cervix is definitely expanding and getting ready for Labor!! I'm still on iron supplements so that I won't need any blood platelets/transfusions during birth nor lose too much blood. Baby Girl is still head down and her head can definitely be felt!! We are EXCITED to meet her in 2-3 weeks from Now!! WOO HOO!! I am also FULL TERM next week!! So basically any day now!! My appointments are weekly as well!!🙏🏾🙏🏾🌈👶❤️❤️

@al_lopezzzz2718 37 weeks is EARLY term. Size has nothing to do with development. The last few weeks are for optimal brain growth and development. There is early term, term, full term and late term. Your doctor is out dated if she isnt aware of that. It doesn't mean that babies born then can't be healthy, it means there can be complications and that they are missing out on optimal growth.

I have done this 3 times already. I'm pretty sure that My Doc wouldn't give me false information especially because their practice is very popular and huge around here. However maybe it is early term but regardless My baby will be born between 38-40 weeks but most likely 39 weeks and that was My whole point of this post. And Yes some doctors give you the option to deliver early if they are inducing you!

@al_lopezzzz2718 a simple Google search of the ACOG terms will tell you, you don't have to take my word for it. Blind faith in doctors regardless of how many children you have is a dangerous thing. An option of delivering early when not necessary is ridiculous.

Full term is actually 39 weeks. Try not to be induced before then! Glad to hear everything is going well.

@al_lopezzzz2718, the measurements are always estimates. My son was measuring big my entire pregnancy and I was told he was already 8 lbs at 37 weeks but nope, he was born at 40 weeks at 7 lbs 12 oz. He was perfect and I’m glad I didn’t make him come out earlier, even though the last few weeks were sooo hard! My belly was huge!
