Anyone have experience with 14 month old not peeing for long stretches. Went to Ped. Yesterday bc she was whining and holding her crotch area. Did a urine sample and it came back perfect. Dr thinks it's a bacterial infection on her vagina and prescribed epsom salt bath soaks for 5 days. But she woke up around 5am for a bottle and had one around 10pm and she hasnt peed. Thats never happened before and im worried. Im going to call ped when office opens but looking for any info on here please.

How hydrated is she? That's the key. What goes in must come out. Is she still passing stool? One cannot pass normal still without proper hydration. Have you tried mixing Pedialyte into her water to get her to drink a large quantity? It will flavor it so she may have more desire to drink. How is she eating?
10-5 is a good stretch and it's possible to be ok to not have a pee for that long occasionally, but def not normal. If after trying the above and she still doesn't urinate definitely get her in as it could be something more serious. But I hope getting her hydrated helps and that the pediatrician gets you back in today.

She drank less than she usually does yesterday. Maybe 30oz all day because she wasn't feeling good and i think she was afraid to pee. Im going to get as much liquid in her today so hopefully that will improve. Shes has had 2 bowel movements which is normal for her and her appetite for food doesnt seem to be affected. Im hoping when she wakes up again she'll empty her bladder. She seems content in her sleep. No whining or waking up. I just hate so bad they can't tell us exactly what they feel so we can make them better. :( Thank you for the knowledge and advice. I think the pedialyte will help get her liquid intake up.
