Whenever I start to complain about the issues of pregnancy: can’t sleep / heart burn / body hurts / pee’ing constantly / ect... I just think about how women used to do this 150 years ago. How they did it all while tending to 6 other children, zero medical care, and did all the housework themselves with no running water or electricity.

That stops me in my tracks.

And at least we get to deliver in a nice hospital with antibiotics.

Could you imagine just having to do it at home with water you had to go fetch from the well, and the best lighting was that of a candle?? And then get up the next day and care for all those kids & the home?

No thanks. We have it great. Being pregnant in the 21 Century is a LUXURY.
