Yes i got an iep for my son to get his speech. Now he is in special day classes and doing wonderful

Yes. My preschooler has one for speech and it’s been the best thing ever!!!!

I had a iep make sure ur kids feel like there not getting shamed my teachers treated me like shit legit my fourth grade teacher told me and my mom to my face to hold me back bcuz someone like me would never graduate. I hated having a label and then way they where with me I would go to the iep meeting they would talk though me like I wasn't there call me by third person like I was a figment of someones imagination. I gave up at school and just didn't give a shit. At the end of 9th grade I moved to a different school and it was a whole enough story they actually helped and talked with me not to me. I was in honerroll when I graduated played 3 sports and now I'm a pca. Thinking about going for my lpn. I have a good family and good job. .....rambling, it can be beneficial but don't let them downgrade ur child either I wish my mom would have done more for me when it mattered. I felt like a undisierable (Spongebob reference) lol
