Help moms... Moving him from infant seat to this seat for road trip today and usually I have husband's help. We do rear facing and this is milestone but headrest is at highest setting and he is only 11 mth and 16% so I'm doing something wrong. Also what recline 1 or 2 can't find that part in book... He is 20 lbs.

Headrest - the bigger part needs to come down. I think you can take that pillow insert out

Okay.. Took out pillow insert and moved head rest down. I'll try him in it again

It looks like the straps are above his shoulder so it actually needs to go down (going by picture)
Are you adjusting it right? Grabbing the red handle on top and pulling up and down. What seat is this ?

It should say on the side of the carseat with a line that says to keep level with the ground when rear facing

Rear facing should be in recline position 1 or 2 for this seat

I had forgotten that that part was determined by vehicle. I knew it was position 1 or 2 I just couldn't remember how to tell which position. I felt stupid after I put the seat in and remembered that it depends on the car and you just set it to 1 or 2 depending on where the ball is in the blue on the safety color bar.

Thank you everyone! We had our trip and install and riding went very well. He hates the infant car seat but in this one he slept both ways so that's a success in my book and he was safe! Thank you all a million times!
