❤ Mental wellness check time❤

❤️Mental wellness check time❤️

How are you doing today? Take a minute just to reflect on yourself and see how you are actually doing.

Do you see this picture? It was taken at 1:00 in the morning on November 5, 2017. I was not OK in this picture I hadn’t realized yet that I was slipping into a dark place. My baby was almost 3 months old and I had cried every day for the last month but my struggle was just beginning. I was only screened for PPD once and would go undiagnosed because I didn’t have the “normal” symptoms and was just disregarded as the baby blues.

My PPD manifested as panic attacks to the point of not being able to leave my home some days and exhaustion. I’m not a doctor and I’m not able to diagnose PPD but I urge you to do your research and ask for the support that you’ll need. It’s been almost a year since I started feeling like myself again. I’m a work in progress but my story isn’t finished yet.

I had ppd really bad to my husband made me go there check at my 6 week checkup it took the girl like 3 mins to be like yep u sure do for 4 months I hid in my room I had crZy fears someone was coming for baby I had dreams every night someone was breaking in my house and steeling her for the black market it drove me insane. it started the day she was born. The hospital told me they take her for a but so I could sleep it took me 10 mins and I had a breakdown couldn't breath and made then being my baby back. I didn't sleep for 3 days straight. I didn't come out of my house unless it was for check ups then someone my Mom or husband had to go with me so I could sit in the backseat and see her if I showered my husband has to have her in the room so I could see or hear her at all times ..i was straight crazy.

You’re welcome! I hate that I had to go through that feeling like I was completely crazy but I’m glad that I have the understanding now so I can help others who may not of recognized it in themselves yet. I’m glad you were able to overcome it as well.
