Do you think I’ll be able to find out the gender at my next appointment? I’ll be 11 weeks. My first visit was a few weeks ago and we didn’t really do much besides some blood/ urine tests.
I am super anxious to find out 🤣

Probably not. They’re not even looking for gender until closer to 20 weeks. If you get the bloodwork done to test for genetic disorders you might find out sooner, but they don’t typically let you do that bloodwork until 10 weeks and it might not be analyzed before your appointment.

Thanks!

Usually don’t find out until your anatomy scan at 20 weeks unless you pay for gender at 3d around 15-17 weeks or do home blood test at 10+ weeks.

My OB is the best- but she’s delivered both my babies too so she knows me. She asked if we wanted to know at my first US appt. I said “oh I thought it was too early but YEAH!” She told me sometimes you can tell. So we got a clear shot through the legs after she measured crown to rump and there was def something there. She said “about a 70% chance it’s a boy!”

You can have a blood test done it’s about $300 and normally is not covered by ins. It pulls the babies DNA from your blood. So if you’re having a boy, the DNA will most likely indicate it.

The blood test is only around $70 usd I did it for $100 Canadian

Ask your dr. Office if they offer NIPT that includes the gender and ask of your insurance covers it. My insurance covers 100% of mine.
