Considering it's your first, you may go past your due date so no I don't think it's cutting close

With my first, I gave birth 3 weeks early .. Exactly one week after my babyshower. My best friend had ZERO complications her entire pregnancy and ended up giving birth 5 weeks early before either of her babyshowers. I would recommend doing at least 1 month before your due date.

I would have it earlier if possible because you never know what may happen. Both my girls came at 36 weeks.

I would have it earlier. I had my baby shower with my first pregnancy at 37 weeks and I was miserable. I had my baby shower at 30 weeks this time and I am sooooo glad I did it this early!

I had my baby shower at 35 weeks.

With my first pregnancy I had 2 baby showers one at 30wks and the other at 38 weeks. It was so hard one me I was swollen and in pain I really didn’t enjoy the 38wk one😫

I’ll be 35 weeks tomorrow and my first baby shower is Saturday, and my next baby shower is next Saturday(that one is pushing it for 36 weeks for me) I’m already dilated 3cm and having contractions 5 minutes apart.. he could be here any day, we didn’t expect it to be this soon for me to start dilating and everything since it’s my first.. but yeah.. I’d schedule it early, between 33-36 weeks probably just to be safe.

That was my due date

I had mine at 33 weeks. That gave me enough time to wash his stuff, and figure out what we still needed to buy that we didn’t get from the shower.
