2am on Day 4 in hospital post C-section, the past 3 were a blur. They are keeping me until tomorrow because I am having a hard time walking and my midwife wants me to have nurses for one more day to help.
Highs: the baby, the baby's smell, I have a daughter, her fingers and toes, the sounds she makes when she nurses, all of her, how my man is with her, when her brother met her and the nursing staff.
Lows: one of my nipples is bleeding, the other feels like a sunburn and sandpaper when she nurses, contractions that feel like they are going to open me back up every time I nurse, I haven't been able to poop, I farted in front of our visitors, everything about the incision, and her screaming no matter what for 2.5 hours last night. Extra high: when she stopped screaming and slept on my chest. Motherhood is so damn hard, but so damn worth it.

with me I think it was more of a fear to go lol until I couldn’t hold it no more lmao (if you drink a lot of water they have a better effect)
Trust and believe when you do you have to go make sure it’s quiet so you can focus
And make sure they give you a prescription to go home with they will come in handy
