Epidural..... I have a very low tolerance when it comes to pain and them contractions were kicking my ass I could not deal at all and they were back to back 😭😭
I’d say it depends on how long you’re in labor. With my first, I was induced and got the epidural after 12 hours because I was barely dilated to 5 cm. I didn’t experience any negative side effects but that’s always a gamble.
With my second, he was born literally as soon as I got checked into the hospital. It was painful but definitely bearable if you’re progressing quickly.
It really depends on what you can handle pain wise, as long as you have a well trained anesthesiologist, you won't have the bad back problems. It's really not even that painful to have done either, the most painful part is the tape coming off your back when your done

Epidural.. helped me with the pain with contractions and pushing my baby out... back hurts sometimes now but it’s no big deal

No epidural. I know too many people that have had back problems from the epidural.
