about 10,000 people live in a nearby county. the number 10,000 can be written as 10n where n is a whole number. what is the value of exponet n?

It says exponent he had a bunch of questions this was the only one like that and he said they never did that one in class
It’s pretty much just asking about many times 10 can go into 10000 😊

Are they doing power or just exponents. Because as it's written it would be 1000 unless it's written as 10^n which would be 4
Well if it’s the kind of problem I think it is it’s asking for 10 raised to the nth power which is just saying using 10 as a factor however many times. So in this case n = 4 10x10x10x10=10000
So if it was asking for 10n of 100000 n would be 5 because 10 can go into 100000 5 times

I believe n=4, but that would be if they’re working on the scientific notion
