It may be a little TMI for some, but here it goes... Has anyone’s newborn have like hard formed poops instead of soft poops? My daughter cries hours at a time because she’s trying to go and it’s so hard for her to pass it. Does anyone have any tips? We occasionally give her glycerin baby enemas ( suggested by her doctor) but we can’t give it too often because she needs to go on her own.

If she’s on formula she may need to switch. Something is constipating her. You’re right she shouldn’t need those enemas often.

She was on gentle ease but I picked up similac sensitive today. It says it’s for gas, fussiness, and lactose sensitivity. My husband’s family is sensitive to lactose so I’m going to see how this one goes for a while just in case she’s sensitive like them.

that’s a good idea! It can take 2-3 weeks for dairy to leave her system.
