I am a stay at home mom of a beautiful daughter who has some communication issues. I struggle…

She can speak every now and then but she does not speak regularly every day. For example, she said mama about a month ago and has not said it since.

We also do speech therapy (we have done it for a year with two different therapists who alternate weeks) we also have done occupational therapy. Her pediatrician sent us to a child neurologist so now we do that as well. I feel so bad because she is only 2 and a half and she has had so many different tests done- fragile x, genetic testing, EEG’s, autism testing, and two different hearing tests. So far they cannot figure out why she doesn’t speak. At this point I am almost wondering if she is just stubborn!

@nlowery1991, hmmm... might be stubborn might not. And you took her to an ENT? That’s who discovered my son had severe fluid in his ears so he couldn’t hear. It wasn’t infected and so he didn’t tug at his ears. My ENT also talked about seeing some kids miss a bone in their ear that was always misdiagnosed as an ear infection til they seen them and then they fixed it and the kid can hear and talk now

yep they did all that when they were doing hearing tests, they said they couldn’t find any fluid. We also haven’t had a problem with ear infections at all.
