So the older mauriz is getting the more he wants to be alone.. All this past week he's just been staying in his room.. He'll only come out to go to the bathroom or ask for food or drink.. Idk if it's because of his age or if it has to do with his autism!? I've also noticed that the older he gets he gets more shy even with people he knows and loves so much.. Like his cousins and grandma, I'm going to bring it up at his therapy session next week and see what they think, but was just wondering have any of you mamas went through this with your kids around this age or should I be worried? 😐

Could be a few things.
I first wonder what he is doing in his room. And wants to be alone, so I'm wondering why (is he playing, watching TV, ect.). Has something changed at school or at home. What does he have to say about him being alone so much. Have you asked him? Its definitely important to bring up at his next session. But in the meantime ask him. Maybe he likes to play more alone, maybe he doesnt want to share because he shares alot at school. I'd honestly just ask him. But do it during a moment when you can focus on him without distractions or the other kids.

He's either playing or watching tv.. But maybe you're right maybe he just wants to be alone! He doesn't go to school yet so he doesn't have any issues to do with that yet.. I'm definitely going to bring it up on Wednesday, and I haven't asked him yet but I will.. hopefully it's just a phase 🤞🏻

If it's autism, my fiance' is autistic and I know how ya feel. He has trouble communicating with me and trouble with focusing. It does get more difficult with age but miracles happen. Good luck

He's already been diagnosed with autism but he's never been like this before.. He's usually really out going and with us all the time so I'm not really sure what's going on but I'm going to talk to him and see what he says

living with autism isn't that bad and even after 2 years with my fiance's I'm still getting used to it.

My son had a few short seasons like this. We don't have tv, but we do have lots of books . Sometimes he would just want to be in his room by himself and read books. I thought it was a bit off, but he would come out and say he just needed some quiet time. 🤷♀️ my son doesn't have autism though, but maybe this phase is intensified because of the autism? (not meant in a mean way, I'm sure you understand what I am trying to say.)

It's okay! I understood what you was saying, but that's what I'm thinking that it's all from his autism.. I'm definitely going to bring it up at his next therapy.. I'm going to try and talk to him tomorrow and see what could be going on cause this definitely isn't like him 😞
