Help a straight girl out...
Straight hair that is. My little has a head full of curls and this is new territory for me. Dh never cared for his and always shaved it. Below is very similar (Google pic but I still hate putting other kids faces on here). We don't use shampoo, use Cantu right now which I'm not a fan but ehh. Every morning I spray with leave in conditioner and have to wide tooth comb it because it's full of tiny knots.
Satin pillow case maybe? What do I do?

Definately a satin pillow case. Argan or pure coconut oil mixee with water in a spray bottle. Do that then the leave in conditioner daily

@laniejay i love argan oil, works great on my daughters curls. Hopefully itll be great for his curls

does it leave them soft and not oily looking? I use an argan oil for dry skin and it leaves an oily film. I suppose that depends on how much water?

no it doesnt look oily cause i use more water than oil in the spray bottle. Also, Curly Kids deep conditioner is great

We do the loc method... liquid oil cream. Spray with water for liquid, then apply oil (I switch between coconut, jojoba and argan) for cream I use cantu kids leave in conditioner then comb it out and apply curl cream. Wash with shampoo every 2 weeks, cowash every 3-4 days.

One of my niece's are biracial (african American and white)
The other is biracial but (Mexican/white)
She basically had to experiment with different things. She uses hair milk on one and cantu on the other.

Oh and I also love argon oil even for my own curls ^^

It's so hard to find something that works for curly hair because all curly hair is different. I would keep it simple. Use a leave in conditioner and a curling cream OR leave in conditioner and gel (you have to scrunch out the crunch to get soft defined curls). I always found oils cause a lot of build up, so I do shampoo my hair once a week or so, and all of it not just the scalp, then condition - it depends what his scalp is like. But because he's a little guy, I would stick with one or two clean products that aren't too smelly and "producty". One product recommendation though: see pic.

Here's the product. A little tiny bit of it is very moisturizing, it CAN get greasy/oily looking, but that depends on how much moisture your hair soaks up.
