Does every pregnant woman get a membrane sweep..? Or is that for certain people. Always wondered...

@leximonae1k I have no idea. Ive heard it happens tho...I mentioned it to my midwife and she's like, oh he gave you a membrane sweep. I'm like yeah well he didn't tell me he was. And they were kinda like, oh 🤷.
I asked to have one done when I was pregnant with my 2nd. At the time just about anything that could increase the chance of baby coming sooner I was gonna try because I really did not want a repeat csection. They were originally planning it for 39 weeks and I said no so they moved it to 41 weeks and I was trying everything I could to prevent it. I had 2 sweeps done and after the 2nd one baby came 3 days later on his own thankfully! 1 day before my repeat csection. I was able to deliver him naturally.
awe❤️❤️❤️i’m happy to hear that! I’m most likely just gonna let everything come naturally, all of my friends have been going past their due date! I was like whaaaat. My daughter is due April 4th, 3 days before my birthday I hope she comes on my birthday 😭😭😭

Yeah people get them done so the baby will come but it doesn’t guarantee that your baby will come because a lot of women have had them done and their baby doesn’t come it just all depends on what your baby wants to do.
No, some women want them done but others don’t me personally I’ve never had one done and I have no interest to have one done because I know my son will come when he’s ready to just like my first son did.
So basically it’s done to make the baby come early?😕yeah no I’m not interested.
No, you really don’t need them. My OB did w my first and I asked her why she didn’t offer w my second and she said it didn’t really matter, baby would come when baby comes.
Yeah my mother said the same thing.. She got one with my two older sisters but not the rest of us.
No...however mine did it without telling me and I later found out he did 😑 had my baby 3 days later at 39+2
