Honestly had the scariest moment of my life before. Allaiyah choked for the first time. And I'm not even sure how long it lasted just that it seemed like it would never end. Honestly thought I wasn't going to be able to help. Feel like such a crap mum and my anxiety is through roof. I'm still so in shock 😩😭

Was it gagging or choking? Did she go blue? And couldn’t get a breath?
I suggest reading up on St Johns Ambulance first aid for choking babies hun :)
They have a first aid kit and the booklet is in there but you can also find the info online :)
It will help reduce anxiety if you know what to do next time it happens xx

It was definitely chocking, I've seen her gag before and it was far worse. And she wasn't breathing. I know the basics of what I'm supposed to do. Just hard when your scared and there's noone there to help you 😩xx

I know the feeling, I remember when my first choked on a bit of orange. I'm first aid trained and trained in paediatric first aid you just never imagine you'd have to actually put it into practise, especially with your own child.
