My husband and I have an 8 year difference in age. But we got married on our 7th year dating anniversary. We wanted to really get to know the good, bad and ugly of each other. See if we can still love each other at our worse. I think dating for a good amount of time really helped us.
I know a few couple's that met around 16 and are still happily married many years later. I'd say definitely by 18 though, it's reasonable to expect that much from a relationship. But Ive always considered dating as a way to find a spouse not just a thing to pass time.
I wouldn’t say age. It depends on a number of things really. If both parties are ready. Mentally, financially, physically. Are the couples growing and building each other up. Do you both stimulate each other’s mind. Do each other meet everything that you want in a partner or are looking for more. It’s more so if the relationship has progressed to marriage level. It’s not something that can be forced or rushed. It has to happen when the universe and the couple feels it’s right.
I don't think age matters much its about the relationship and how it's going. We got engaged after 2 years and married at 3.5 years. Now i do think there is a time limit however. I would not date someone for like 8 years and no proposal & marriage. Thats just me. Men/women know after a year if thwy are with the one they want to spend their life with so if no propsal within 5 years you gotta go buddy lol
I agree. Ive always known by 9 months, it seems to be when they let their guard down and the undesirable things come out. By 2-3 years you probably know and have talked about if it's turning into marriage or not though. Me and my husband knew within weeks of starting dating that we were going to get married, we still waited a year until getting engaged though, then a year before our wedding.
My parents and my sister married in their late teens and they are going on 35 years and 7 years of marriage. Some people just get lucky to meet young. I would have loved to be that person, but I didn't meet the right person until later.
I think any relationship should have the expectation of marriage. Or else, why be in a relationship? 🤔
I'm not saying the pressure..just the shared want/idea/goal
I was in a 6 year relationship with my first boyfriend. We talked about marriage, kids, a future. And we were 16. Would we have actually done this at that age? Oh no! Lol but it was a shared goal.
I don’t think there is an age. I started dating my husband when I was 14. I never thought about us getting married even after we started living together when I was 17. I didn’t think about marriage really until I graduated high school
I don’t think there is a certain age. It depends on the couple. My husband proposed after 8 months of dating and we were married the following year. I don’t think you should rush into it if you aren’t mentally ready. Meaning if you are immature then maybe you need to grow up some more and I don’t think teens need to rush into marriage. We were in our 20’s when we got married.
My parents got married after 6 months of dating. I met my husband at 15 and 17 and were married on our 7 year dating anniversary. This year we have been together 10 years and married 3
Hard to say, but I was with my husband only for a year before we decided to get married. But I guess it depends on the couple and how committed they are

Depends on the couple honestly and how long they're comfortable dating before they take that step.

It shouldn’t be based on age . In my opinion it’s how well the couple knows each other and how long they have been together .

A dating relationship should lead to marriage. That's why I date, marriage is the end game
