My great grandma passed away today. She's been in a home for almost a year now and her Alzheimer's was getting so bad she couldn't even talk or chew her food anymore. We knew her time was coming but it still hurts just as bad. I'm closer to my grandma (her daughter) than I am anyone else in my family. She is basically my mom not my grandma. I don't even know what to say to her. She's so good at keeping herself together and is one of the strongest women I know but I know she's hurting and I just want to help her but I can't.
