I've been prescribed both in the past. It totally depends what opiate and what antidepressant. Most don't have an interaction but there are a few that do.

@jenny955 I've never heard of Kratom, you can check online for interactions between drugs, though, if you wanted to double check.

kratom is sold at smoke shops and it helps with pain but its not an opiot

Hmm, things like that are harder since supplements aren't overseen by the FDA. It might be best to check with her doctor or a pharmacist.
