My daughter will be 3 years old by time my new edition is born. What are some tips do you moms have? How did you explain to your child that there will be a lot of changes and how do you make your child not feel left out. I’m very nervous about it

Include her in everything possible.
Clothes shopping? Bring her with and let her pick stuff out.
Doc appointment? Bring her with and let her hear the heartbeat.
Ultrasound appointment? Bring her with so you can share the moment.
Decorating the nursery? Have her do small stuff like laying stuffed animals somewhere.
If it's kid friendly, let her help.

I’m writing everything down lol. I just want to make sure she doesn’t feel unloved or left out. I’ll definitely have her help me with any and everything she can so she can prepare for the big sister role

@gianasmom I did all this and man they're inseparable lol. She also got to watch her being born (side view lol) but that was my personal preference lol.

With my last two I would always tell them there's a baby in my stomach and they're going to be a big sister also got them babies so they could take care of them I would also showing them how to take care of a baby also have it in my arm and tell them hold on I'm to feed baby so they kind of understood when the baby was here I was going to have to say that and they would have to wait a minute I took them to the sonograms so I could show rhem there's your baby sister in my tummy and they loved it. We also started picking out stuff for the baby and so what do you think your baby sister would like do you want to buy your baby sister something. This was a everyday thing if it wasn't shopping or going to the doctor I would remind them baby in my tummy is going to be here soon are going to help mommy take care of the baby are you in love on the baby

I’m definitely going to do that. I brought her a baby doll with a stroller to attempt to teach her how to care for a baby but once it started crying she threw it down the stairs and walked away lol

@gianasmom lol just keep at it my first she was like that but i mad it a habit to do it because I was worried she did not want one for the first time I brought it up she would cry or say no baby or hit the doll. She now try to tell me how to take care of the baby

Just include her and make her excited to be a big sister and ask how she will help take care of the baby. My son will be 4 three months after i have his brother. Hes so excited and call him his baby. Lol

Include her in helping with changing diaper or holding the bottle ..tell her she can kiss her and b gentle..pick out pajamas when u wanna change the bby ..little things that makes her feel like shes involved.
