How old were your kids when they moved up to a twin size bed?
2.5, no rails. He got all the falling out of bed out of his system when he was in a toddler bed from 14 months-2.5. We had folded blankets on the floor so he wouldn't get hurt. As a result...he rarely woke up whenever he did fall out of bed.
We’re going from crib to full size bed. He’s an active sleeper, so we thought the extra space would be good. And this way we don’t have to buy another mattress until he’s a lot older.
All different ages for mine but usually 3-4, my 3 year old is getting a twin as soon as we get taxes filed and back, right now she has a toddler bed but she ends up with my 11 year old in her full size bed with her most nights lol (they share a room lol)
Mine went from our king size bed, to a toddler bed in his own room (for like a couple months) then on to the queen size that's in his room now. He needs ROOM to sleep and the toddler bed just was NOT cuttin it! We didn't wanna buy like 12 beds as he grew, so we just moved him up to a queen and will replace his mattress as necessary. We ALL sleep much better this way!
Mine are co-sleepers so they never had a crib, we skipped toddler beds and went straight to twins at 2 years old
Our oldest was 3 when he got his twin bed. The youngest is in his toddler bed (convertible crib).
