What should I do? My sister keeps suggesting boys names for our little girl. But they're all spelled funny to make them feminine. The names are Westyn, Owynn, Carsynn, Blakelynn and Masyn. Spelled correctly anyone would assume these are boys names. (Blake without the Lynn obviously) I've told her we want a clear girls name, something that when you read it you know we're talking about a little girl. We want something clearly feminine. I've told her this and she just doesn't quit. Her daughters got a clearly feminine name so I don't get where she's coming from with these names. I asked her if she wants to help to please stay away from unisex names just to be safe and she's just not listening at all and gets upset with me saying the names she sent arent masculine at all and that I'm being overly difficult and picky. Even though when I asked her if she would use the names if she had a daughter she went "no, if I had another daughter I'd name her Lydia Rose." It doesn't make any sense to me at all. She picks feminine names for her daughters but now IM picky for not being a fan of unisex names. Like I said I've explained my reasoning, and told her we won't be using the names, but she keeps suggesting names along the same lines as and is completely undeterred by what I've said. I've tried ignoring her but she'll then message me multiple times a day about a name suggestion she sent. I'm grateful she's trying to help, but she's not even bothering to listen to the feedback I'm giving her about what I do and don't like and it's getting increasingly frustrating.

Many girls and women are named Blake lol
That being said it’s not up to your sister to name your kid, so smile and nod and ignore her. Our family doesn’t like the name choice we have for baby number 4 but it’s not up to them 🤷🏻♀️ Tell her to stop giving you suggestions and just tell her you’ve picked a name and it’s a surprise lol case closed 🙊

Tell her you don’t need suggestions because you and your SO have chosen a name and will be waiting to announce it. If she keeps suggesting,tell her “Thank you for suggestions but we have a name. We don’t need a name and you continue suggesting and it’s starting to upset me. I’m sure it’s just the hormones but please stop. If we decide to not use our name we chose and need suggestions, I will ask.”

Tell her that you appreciate her help, but you have some in mind and won’t be needing her help anymore.
My mom and sister have been bombarding me with names for our 2nd boy, and I had to tell them that to get them to back off

Sounds like she’s very pushy with her suggestions. I’m not sure how close you and your sister are but just tell her you don’t like those names. You’re not being picky. This is your child lol of course you want to pick a name you’ll like and that you feel happy choosing. Like the person above my comment said, just tell her you have a name and it’s a surprise.

Just tell her you dont like them, knock down every name she gives, unless it's one you like. But no matter what, it is your kid, not hers. What she says and how she feels about the name you choose is completely irrelevant.

Just like others say tell her you need no suggestions and have already named her. I don't like those spellings lol
