Bella's been on solids since 6 months. We do blw- and she has been eating a lot more these past couple weeks. So, the past couple days she has seemed really having issues going number 2. If she does manage to get any out, it's just a little peanut butter consistity stuck in between her bum, doesn't even get to her diaper. What can I give her to help? We really don't want to go the apple juice route. I've been trying to get her to drink some water from her cup but it's just ending up all over her.

My son just went through this. His pediatrician told me not to do apple juice. She said once in a while is fine but if you give it to them a lot it can have a reverse affect and be binding. She told me to do pear juice. A little in the morning and a little with dinner and if he's really having a hard time give him prunes. She also said to make sure he drinks water throughout the day too.

No Mirilax! The manufacturer doesnt even recommend it for under 17 yrs old.

P foods, prunes, plums, pears, peaches.

I’m not sure what you can use that isn’t meds besides apple juice or prune juice. We refrained from juice until Damien was 11 months, but a tiny bit of apple juice in a lot of water works wonders I swear! I hope you can find a better alternative though!

Pedialyte might help or miralax! my mom used miralax on my little brother when he was a baby because he had really bad constipation and the doctors prescribed him miralax .!
