Have you had a miscarriage and not known? Or, will you always know if you’re about to miscarry? What are the symptoms?
I’m trying not to google every single thing and trying to ask actual people!

Yeah I had really bad cramps and huge lumps of blood clots it was really sad it’s not a trigger for me anymore but it was a bad time. You feel like you’re having a really bad period but it’s not the same that’s how I knew

My friend had a miscarriage last year and didn’t know until she went to the doctor. She thought she was just having a really bad heavy period

I never did but I alway wonder if I’d know or if I will find out at an appointment.

I had what’s called a missed miscarriage. My baby passed at 6 weeks, but my body didn’t recognize that it passed until 10 weeks. My dr didn’t see you for your first appointment until 12 weeks so I had no idea. I just started bleeding, and had the full on miscarriage about 48 hours later.

I had a missed miscarriage, baby stopped growing at 8 weeks 4 days my body didn’t recognize it till I was 11 weeks 4 days I ended up with d&c.

I had missed miscarriage. I didn’t find out until i was 11+weeks at ob appt that baby heart stopped at around 8 weeks. I didn’t have any symptoms and I continued normal pregnancy symptoms, no crampings no bleeding.

So Missed miscarriage are real common huh? That doesn’t help with my stress.

@penelope127, yeah I just thought a missed miscarriage wasn’t as common as a regular miscarriage 😞

@dawnrose, it’s still a miscarriage, it just takes your body a bit to recognize that baby had passed.

I understand that. I don’t think you’re understanding what I am saying. I’m trying to say that I didn’t know a “missed” miscarriage was as common as a “known” miscarriage. I understand they both are miscarriages. Just something I learned today. Now I really can’t wait until my ultrasound.

I had a missed miscarriage too. I had no clue anything was wrong. I had all my pregnancy symptoms and no spotting or bleeding. I went to my 8 week ultrasound and there was no heartbeat. Baby had stopped growing and my body was refusing to recognize it and miscarry. So I had to get a D&C.

I had clots coming out that were different than my period. I also had cramping and lower back pain. I had a feeling a miscarriage was happening. It took about a week or so if I remember right

My friend went to her second appointment she was supposed to be ten weeks. They couldn't find a heartbeat so sent her over to ultrasound and baby was only measuring 9 weeks with no heartbeat. She had no idea she had miscarried.she had no bleeding or any indication of miscarrying.
