I'm so nervous to get my son's blood work done today 😭😭😭 Has anyone's toddler had to get blood taken??

My daughter did for her 18 month checkup. The worst part was before the needle was inserted because I had to forcibly hold her down and she did not like that. After they inserted the needle, she didn’t really react lol

Our did around 14m to check his iron levels. He took it like a champ - much better than I do. Lol

Yep. My son has had to have it done a few times. We've been dealing with some medical problems. Now we're dealing with G.I problems.

My son did at 2 yrs... it was tough. My son was getting over the flu and wasn’t drinking enough fluids so they couldn’t get a vein. And there was only females working there and my son kept fighting them off. I waited a few weeks to go back, until he was completely over the flu and had plenty to drink. And I called ahead of time to make sure there were guys there to help hold him. And they were able to find the vein and took the blood out like nothing. My son was screaming the entire time but the second the needle was out, he stopped almost immediately... good luck momma!!

My son did at his 12month check-up and they did it in his arm instead of his feet. He was crying, because we have to hold him down, so he won’t push the needle out. When time comes, I will know if he have to have it done again on his 2years check-up.
