Can you decide if you want to have a c section done or is that something your doctor decides?

I believe you CAN request a c section but usually the doctor dictates that if there are foreseen vaginal birth complications. Idk why anyone would WANT a c section tho I sure didn’t 💁🏽‍♀️

You don’t want one I promise. Recovery is much worse. I had one. I had pain for months and was numb along the incision (just got feeling back) back pain from the spinal tap, had trouble lifting my own baby, car rides were terrible. Wearing pants was uncomfortable. Had to give myself injections to avoid blood clots, and then I threw a clot anyways so it was pointless. It just really sucks.

You can request one. I had one now I don’t think I ever wanna do natural.

I wasnt able to get one. I wanted one with my first because i wa scared of pushing him out. Oh how im so glad i didnt get one now. I heard its such a painful experience. After a vaginal birth you can walk like 20 minutes after.

Our hospital does not do elective csections unless they are warranted and patients meet a specific criteria. So for us no we don’t preform csections just because someone decides they want one, but some hospitals/doctors will.

I had an emergency csection and I definitely would not have chosen it 😩

Everybody's experiences are different. While I was in active labor I never asked for one but was hoping and praying to get one. God sure heard my prayers because my doctor came in my room and had my nurses prep me for it.

My recovery was great. I absolutely had no issues. I wore jeans about 3 weeks post c-section and was out and about a week after my c-section. I did have the numbing though.

You can request one but to be honest why would anyone want a csection i had 3 and i wish i could of had my kiddos natural.

You do not want a c section. Idk why everyone wants a c section. The healing time is way longer than a normal birth plus you have to get stitched up. It’s not easier at all so don’t think that one bit

I would noy choose a c-section. I have heard nothing good about them and vaginal is not so scary or painful.

I had two. My dr gave me a choice because they estimated my baby to be pretty big and didn’t think I’d be able to do it naturally. Both of mine went so smooth. Recovery wasn’t bad at all. I was out going to stores walking around less than a week later.🤷🏼‍♀️ just wore comfortable dresses/leggings. No issues :)
