The hospital I went to told me that since they don’t have a labor and delivery anymore that they can’t test to see if I just peed or if it’s urine!
So their making me go to the hospital where I’m delivering and instead of letting my mom take me, their making ride in an ambulance! 🙄.
Because they don't know? Are they also paying for said ambulance ride?
My mom was on her way to get me but they said I had to go in the ambulance which is the dumbest thing ever.

how far along are you? You can tell them no, they cannot make you. But you may have to sign ama forms.
Do they have the siren going?
They could be trying to get you there quickly and an ambulance can get through lights.

If you're leaking I believe you're at risk for infection which is why they're trying to force the ambulance.

I would tell them no if your moms already on the way. The test is just a super quick swab you’ll be able to get it done quickly once you get to the right hospital.
They can’t make you. If you really don’t want to just refuse since your moms almost to you.
Yeah they can't force you to go in an ambulance. All you have to do is say no. Hopefully your insurance covers ambulance rides because they're pricey. 😳
They can’t make you you have the right to tell them no!! My ambulance ride was 11,000 for about 20 miles there expensive I would tell them no your mom is almost there and she will take you you will just have to sign papers
The reason their protocol like any hospital would suggest you riding in an ambulance is because IF your membranes ruptured or are leaking you could in their eyes have a baby in that hour long trip to the hospital. If that were to happen you’d be safer in the ambulance then your moms car right? With trained professionals. Unless your mom has the tools to deliver a premie baby in her daily commuter lol. So no it’s not dumb because in reality for some people it may be their waters leaking and could lead to a baby on the drive 🙊 That’s the hospital logic behind wanting you in an ambulance, not to mention insurance and liability reasons.
