Are there any moms out there with a baby who has a milk protein allergy plus acid reflux?

I have a 2 month old foster son who was born a month premature. When in the hospital they noticed he had a milk allergy. He has been on purimino a+ formula since then.

A couple weeks after bringing him home he started crying frequently. It came to a point we took him to see his pediatrian because he was inconsolable. He told us that he has acid reflux and gave us ranitidine twice a day to help. It helped for a couple weeks and got bad again. We took him back and he was prescribed Prevacid once a day. So he’s been taking both medicines everyday. Was doing pretty good. He’s colicky also.

At his most recent check up. The doctor asked how his reflux is doing and I said pretty good. He’s always been gaining despite puking and spitting up. So he took away the ranitidine and said to see how he does without it. He lasted a week without it and I had to call and ask for a prescription.

Well now my son screams and cries when eating and isn’t eating the full amount that he was before. Refuses to sleep unless held completely upright. I’m constantly wearing him in a moby wrap and my back is killing me lol. I don’t know what to do now. He’s on both medicines again but he’s worse than ever. He was atleast sleeping at night and only waking to eat. Now he barely sleeps unless I’m holding him. And he’s screaming and squirming when I feed him. It’s getting hard to handle when I’m exhausted. I just don’t know what to do now. I don’t think there is anything else to help his stomach now. His doctor just says this is colic and it will be over when he’s 6 months. But does colic really last 24/7? I thought it was just a certain part of the day. It just seems like my son is never happy and content. He can really cry all day and night long unless I’m holding him or wearing him.
