Did anybody find when they returned to work from maternity they had NO immune system?? I work with kids and I've had 6 days off since September for sickness bugs and I was due a meeting this week about my absences but I've come down with tonsilitus now!!

I felt fine but my little boy picked up a few bad colds from attending child minder. I have had one day off for me in almost a year and that was for a bad cold before Christmas, but I’m also pregnant so more likely to pick things up x

Thanks, 6 days is more than I've ever had off and it's almost weekly. My LO goes to nursery and my OH works in a school so we're constantly getting bugs but I'm on multivitamins I don't know what more to do

I don’t think there is much you can do, my immunity has always been alright because I started on the wards at 18 and I had the luxury of being ill at that stage. Xx

I've had more sick days in the last 4 years, than the 9 years before Bethany arrived.
Not much you can do when she brings home projectile vomiting bugs...
Usually I'd keep working through colds but with bump as well now, I had 2 days off last week with a cough.

I also work in a nursery but but have bin quite fortunate with my health. My LG on the other hand not so fortunate but I expected that. Iv definitely had more time off for her than I have for myself probably since I started there 6 yrs ago. Xx
