So I ordered a ton of party lite candles from my boss and I lit one this morning because Noah was curious and wanted to smell it and all that so I lit it and kept it by me and he was looking at it and oo’ing and ahh’ing at it....well after a few minutes he started trying to touch it and he thought it was a game like I was being funny telling him that it was hot and if he touches it he will cry and he hurt. He wouldn’t stop so I just blew it out to be safe well immediately after blowing it out he DUMPED MY CUP OF CRANBERRY JUICE IN MY CANDLE!!! (Some kids with autism like to dump liquids back and forth or just into another container and he does love doing that)I yelled at him...”NO!!! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT NOAH?! YOU CANT DO THAT!” I put his head down, hands in his face, lip quivering...crying....I felt AWFUL, because I know he doesn’t know and can’t help it his dad was here and I picked up Noah and held him but then he pushed me away and was crying 😢 I pulled my blanket over my face and started crying too. His dad cleaned everything up, moved my candle and re-lit it for me(even though I had blown it out, he didn’t know) and then came and hugged me and made Noah feel better...I still feel so bad about it though...
