Had another ultrasound today and the nurse used the “angle of the dangle” theory and is guessing it’s a boy! But I have another ultrasound in 2 weeks, and she said they can get a definite read then.... anyone else hear of that gender/sex theory? “Angle of the dangle?” AKA “the nub?”

Neat! I never heard of this theory during my 1st pregnancy.. but could be because I never had another ultrasound after my 8week one, before my 20 week one. I have had soo many during this pregnancy Bc of a blood sack they are keeping an eye on. Wish I had ultrasound picks from my daughter around 12 weeks so I could compare 😜

Oh no, complications are scary! Seeing your baby more often is the one positive that can come from it. It’ll be exciting to see if the nub theory is right for you!

The nub theory is 98% accurate when read correctly. Since it was the nurse who said that I would say congratulations on the boy!! 😊

It was always right for my kids. But it only works on ultrasounds at 12-14 weeks. Too early and too late isn’t accurate. And the tech of 35+ yrs said it’s something they learned.
