Why do my. bagels mold on top the fridge?

Does it get hot on top?

Too warm up there.

I've never really checked. They were brand new bagels. Should I take the cereal down too then?

Moisture from the back of the fridge + heat.

They do best in a dark place like a cabinet & placed in a gallon size ziplock bag instead of their original packaging.

Heat always hits there >~< we usually keep our by coffee maker underneath cupboard so it’s all dry and not warmed and if it’s almost expiration date you could freeze em to have them longer
