This midwife must have been an idiot. I've had my water broken twice (i had to be induced) and this did not happen. My doctor felt first to see where the babies head was then did it. Poor baby. This breaks my heart. 😔
My daughter had scratches all over the top of her head (luckily surface level and not deep, but even still it was heartbreaking). And they broke my water. I didn’t even think anything of it when they wanted to break it because they broke it with my son too, but he was so high up so it didn’t affect him. I was sick when I saw the top of her head!
This unfortunately happened to my daughter . Not nearly this bad but it was still a scary scratch on a newborn babies head & it was my first baby so you’re already terrified of everything . The worst part was no one told me .. they hurried up & put a hat on her so I never seen it until I pulled off her hat to touch her soft hair & seen it & I instantly started freaking out . I knew I didn’t scratch her so I wanted to know what the hell happened & why . & when I paged the nurses to come back they explained it & made it like it wasn’t a big deal I was sooooo mad So was my husband . It was unacceptable . However , my third baby they broke my water & it was all okay & done totally different . They were careless & gave no shits the first time it was awful . I hated that hospital which is why I left it & Switched .
This actually looks similar to my oldest head scratches ( she had 2 but not this bad)
Here's wasn't from breaking my water. It was actually from the vaginal heartbeat monitor they had to attach to her head because she wouldn't keep the one on my belly on
I was induced so they wanted to make sure she wasn't stressed sense she refused the belly monitor they had to insert it vaginally and like tape it to her head

I know when I was having my oldest they lost his heart beat and tried with 3 different monitors and couldn't find it but my doctor didn't put anything in his head she clamped some kind of Doppler thing to my vagina and picked up his heart beat like that.. Idk what she used though and I had never heard of any doctors doing it before 🤔
I had all sorts of wires in me to monitor my daughter. I ended up going into an emergency csection and she had a scratch on her leg, which now is a scar. &’ She also had a red mark on her forhead. Luckily that was not permanent.
