Question for working moms and dads....if y’all both work the same shift how do y’all take turns waking up at night with the baby?!
I’m going back to work full time and hubs is going to be helping me at night. Not sure if it’s better to take turns like every other night. Or both us get up and one change him and the other feed him.
What’s y’all routine?

When I was working my fiance and I split the night. I am morning person and go to bed early so once our daughter was in bed he would get up with her until 2 am if she woke up. After 2 am I would get up with her. We both woke up around 7 am and I went to bed around 9 so this schedule guaranteed us each an average of five hours of sleep. It worked so well for us

I do it all. He’s not helped me through the night since her birth. Not even weekends. 😏

I do everything and always have. I have tried to pretend I don't hear him but I'm still getting questions asked so I rather just deal with it myself

To be honest I find it easier for me to do it, but that’s what works for us. He’s a deep sleeper, so he rarely wakes up if randy cries. Plus randy usually wakes up once at midnight, and once at 3 so my body just naturally gets up at those times 😊

I do just about everything. He sleeps like the dead and I breastfed for the first 6 months so he felt like he shouldn’t have to be up too 🙄 I hope you find something that works for you guys!

When our son was a baby and we both worked we always switched off for each feeding. There’s no point in having both of you get up each time and both of you having that much interrupted sleep. Now that I’m a stay at home mom I handle it all if it’s a work night. On the weekends he takes over if he’s not working.
