Baby has been sleeping since 1230am and woke up for 30min at 10am to eat and went back to sleep. Could this be a growth spurt? Can they sleep this long? I have the lights on/ music on and it doesn’t seem to bother her. She is breathing. I’m constantly checking.
Could be a growth spurt. Just in case you aren’t aware, there are tons of suffocation/strangulation hazards in that crib😰 anything loose like a blanket or whatever is under baby’s head can suffocate your precious baby. Please don’t think “she’s fine I won’t be the one affected by tragedy”
Oh. On the next doctors appointment I’ll ask her if it’s too much because she goes through bottles like crazy
@jalis15, yes that’s probably why she sleeps a lot I think the most I would feed my daughter was 5oz of milk at a month
She's fine as long as she's growing good she can sleep. Some sleep alot.
One time Salem slept through the night and all day except when I woke him up to eat. I think he was the same age.
I guess babies need their sleep too 😂
Thank you ladies! Yea she does eat and a lot. She ate 8oz before falling asleep and then when she woke up at 10am she ate 6oz
Yeah 8oz at 1 month may be a bit too much for her, it can cause a lot of stomach issues and could stretch it too which isn't good. At 1m I was only feeding mine 4oz and that can even be considered a lot
@ladyblauvelt, yea definitely will ask the doctor on Monday that’s our next appointment. She just cries if she isn’t fed. I’ve given her the pacifier, swaddled, walked around w her, the swings and still wants the bottle.
Babies sometimes just like to sleep. As long as she's above her birth weight and is eating normally when you do feed her, let her sleep. She'll let you know when she needs something and right now she just wants to sleep.
Agreed! No need to wake a baby that has surpassed birth weight and is gaining on track. She’ll let you know when she’s hungry. Sleep is very important for development.
She can also get gas from not eating for a long period of time
