Do you have insurance? If not, you can apply for Medicaid after getting “proof of pregnancy”. Any free clinic can do a test for you and give you that. Once you have insurance, or if you already have it, you can go ahead and make an appointment with an obgyn.
no smoking, no drinking. Keep your caffeine intake at a minimum, drink lots of water, no ibuprofen-only Tylenol. Those are the big things. Your doctor will likely give you a list of medications for various ailments that are safe to take. For the most part, you can continue your life as normal.
Take prenatals! If you don’t like what the dr offers you can always check at a Walmart, Kroger, sprouts, basically any grocery store or drug store. DHA is extremely important for both of you. And eat a lot of healthy foods you are going to need all the vitamins you can get. Stay away from magnesium! It will cause a miscarriage! Any thing that relaxes the muscles stay away from! Except natural anti inflammatories like ginger. Ginger is fantastic for nausea and any inflammation you get from the pregnancy. You can look for prenatal energy packets for your water they helped me a lot! And make sure to put oil or coco butter On your belly when it gets bigger and do not scratch your skin! It’s gonna itch from stretching so just rub oil or the cocobutter on it. It will stop itching. Good luck!
and congratulations! Keep your stress low and get plenty of rest! Stay hydrated too and watch your salt intake because it can contribute to swelling. I’m sure your ogbyn will explain this and more. 💜
