How do you tell a family member that they stink super bad without hurting their feelings?
My brother always stinks and it’s to the point where I don’t want him over to visit at my house or be with him in public. The stench is HORRIBLE! Smells like wet dog and ass and his clothes are constantly furry because of his dogs. I’m really struggling with telling him. I don’t want to hurt his feelings so I need advice on how to start the conversation. Do I tell him through text, through a phone call or tell him in person?
I just had to spray my cushion on my couch with Lysol and wipe it down with detergent and put a damp cloth on it to soak up the Lysol and detergent. He was only maybe here for 15-20 min and I could smell him just by opening the front door and his axe spray obviously wasn’t working for him.

Ugh that’s tough. No matter how you do it there’s a good chance he will be offended. Just go about it as nice as you can. Maybe buy some hygiene products and be like you can have this if you want I bought them for (enter you so name here) but he said he doesn’t like that kind?

Definitely tell him in person. Try to tell him nicely and maybe he will get offended but I bet it’s not only you that smells it. It can be everybody around him. I know it’s not the same but I had to talk to my nephew who went through puberty about how badly he smelled and how important it was to practice self hygiene cleaning himself and using deodorant. I told him nicely though and said I didn’t want anyone to make fun of him. He told me thanks and started doing it. Good luck girl.

I'd tell him in person and be honest. Not beat around the bush about it. My mom smokes cigs and has a dog and her dog stinks and I tell her. Like you stink of cigs and dog and your dog stinks. She doesn't take it personal. Even when I go to her place I tell her. Guys just have a different odor than woman. My Step Son stinks and I tell him to go shower because he stinks really bad . They just sweat a lot and body spray doesn't cut it lol
