Labor and Delivery Story:(February 4th) I originally had an appointment that day at 3:20 but in the morning I woke up to more contractions,discharge,and bleeding. Called and was told to come in instead at 10am to be checked and have a NST. After going in at 10am and being checked and having the NST the ob said she wanted to induce me today because I progressed to 4cm and the NST showed decrease of fetal movement. She told me to go home and get everything packed and wait for a call from L&D in an hr or two! At 6:30pm I never heard back from anyone and my contractions were getting closer together and I was still having bleeding so I called over to L&D and explained what was going on and was told to come in to be checked. After coming in and being checked I was told they weren’t going to induce anymore because her heartbeat was great. At this point I was beyond livid after waiting all day and being told I was going to be induced. After a few minutes the doctor and nurse came back in the room and told me I wasn’t going anywhere that I was a staying all because my ob this morning had the induction planned and if I went home and something happened they were liable. I was then taken to a holding room until a bed opened up for me.(February 5th) Finally after being at the hospital since 7pm at 1:23am the nurse came into the room and said they had a bed available for me that it was time. After getting the pitocin started things went pretty quickly from there! Finally at 5:16 the nurse came in to up my pit and I told her I think my water broke. She quick checked and confirmed that it did. I told her I was having a lot of pressure and she asked if I felt like I needed to push and I said yes. She quick got on the phone with doctor to come check me but I flipped over in bed real quick and grabbed the rails and told her I can’t wait I need to push now and I did. The doctor came flying in the room and asked what was going on and saw me there already pushing and quick flipped the sheet up and saw her crowning and told the nurse this baby is coming out now!!!! She barely had time to quick put on her gloves,gown, and get her hair up before she was born. She was then out at 5:25am!!!!!
