I’m so aggravated with the court system in Brevard county. My husband is trying to adopt my oldest son. His biological father signed his rights away so it’s uncontested. You would think the state would be happy to have someone who is willing to support my son financially and emotionally since his bio dad doesn’t but they have been making this adoption so difficult. I got an order in the mail giving me a list of six things I had to do in order to get a court date and two of them are absolutely ridiculous. For example even though his biological dad and I were married at the time he was born and he signed my son‘s birth certificate I still have to look in a father registry to see if anybody else has tried to claim my Son as his. This needed A whole other court order and I had to pay for this to get done. I’m my opinion this is a complete waste of time and money. I really would like this to be finalized by the time I have this baby.
