Is there anything you guys recommend getting for the baby that you didn't think you'd need and it just came in handy?

A pouch thingy ! Someone gave it to me and I used it on rainy days when I get my daughter from school and need to stay dry instead of pushing a stroller and not having hands to hold my umbrella and infant fever reducer

Changing pad. Lots of people will tell you you don’t need them but they’re really helpful. Especially if you buy the pad, 2-3 pad covers & 4-5 pad liners (covers and liners can be replaced if accidents happen quickly and easily & you can put dirty ones in the wash while having some to still use)

But seriously they’re super helpful and keep the mess when there is one, in one spot, not on your own bed or blanket or carpet. I actually have multiple around the house and in my littles bedroom.

For when they are a little older, a silicone bib that catches food. Also helpful during illness for unfortunate and unpredictable vomiting

Bottle sterilizer

I second the changing pad @_davina! For exactly that reason. If there’s a poopsplosion, you don’t want that all over your carpet or bed 🤢

We put ours on top of a dresser, so we didn’t need a changing table.

Wish these existed years ago there a must have for colic babies/ gassy babies
