Soooo I’m about a week away from my due date and I’m planning on staying home as long as possible with my doula to avoid the epidural does anyone have an natural experiences/tips on coping with the pain that really really helps!!
Everything I learned in the birthing classes seemed to go out the window. Lol breathing was still key, and my husband was super helpful to keep me calmer and help me through it. I got to a point where I just focused on a spot on the wall and breathed thru each contraction as best I could. Ignored everything happening around me.
I agree. I did 2 natural and I know everyone's pain threshold is different but having someone there to keep u calm is key! The pain got to me for a bit with each but as soon as I got refocused my babies were born so much faster and a better recovery with no epidural
I didn't have any pain meds either and as prepared as I felt going into it, it was harder to focus on my breathing than I thought it would be so I was really thankful for my mom being there calmly instructing my breathing. I really think it's the only way I got through it
