I would like to educate everyone who is/was misinformed about the correlation between your mucus plug and labor since there has been a lot of misinformation given. Loosing it doesn’t predict when you will go into labor. But you will loose it at some point before the baby arrives whether you realize it or not. It can either be lost in pieces or all at once. When you do loose it later in pregnancy it usually is a sign of dilation and that you are getting closer to labor. If you loose it before 36 weeks you should speak to your ob about it because it can be a sign of preterm labor.
@dawnrose, Yes it can defiantly come out in pieces like that also but it does all come out one way or another before baby is born
Yup. Been through it twice. It definitely comes outs. But yeah it’s a sign of dilation.
I lost mine at 34wks and it rejuvenated and I had my BS the day before I went into labor. Never full just stringy pieces.
@ooshefit2, Yes it’s possible but if your body is ready for labor it’s not going to
@dawnrose, Some women are just lucky and never realize they have already lost it or it comes out when they are already in labor.
